This notice explains how information is handled when you visit jlpa.im or contact JLPA. JLPA is operated by Aspen Meridian Ltd, Isle of Man.
Information you provide
If you email us or send a brief through the enquiry conversation on the site, we receive what you write and the contact details you give. We use it to respond, consider a potential engagement and keep an appropriate business record.
A brief sent through the conversation is delivered to our mailbox as an email, sent through our email delivery provider, Resend, from its European (Ireland) region. Our mailbox is provided by Zoho Mail. Once your brief has been accepted, we send one short acknowledgement to the email address you gave; it contains nothing you wrote. Our website does not keep its own copy of your brief.
The enquiry conversation
While you answer, your progress is saved in your own browser (local storage) so you can pick up where you left off. It stays on your device and is not a cookie. Your answers are not sent to us until you choose to send the brief—the one exception is a website address you give us to check, described below. You can clear it with “Start again” or by clearing your browser’s site data.
Protection against automated abuse
To protect the enquiry conversation and the website check from automated misuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile. Its script loads when the conversation comes into view, and a check runs invisibly—there is no puzzle to solve—when you ask us to look at a website or send a brief. To tell people from automated traffic, Cloudflare processes information about your browser, device and connection, including your IP address. Cloudflare’s handling of this information is described in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum. If the check cannot be completed, you can always email us instead.
The website check
If you give us the address of an existing website, our server looks at that site’s public pages, sitemap and security headers, and asks a search provider (Serper, which queries Google) how many of its pages appear in search. Only the website address is sent to the search provider—not your name or contact details. The result is cached for up to 24 hours. To prevent misuse, your IP address is used, in pseudonymised form, to limit how many checks can be run and is kept for no more than about a day for that purpose.
Technical information
Our hosting and infrastructure providers (including Vercel, Upstash and Cloudflare) may process ordinary request information—such as an IP address, device and browser information, requested pages and timestamps—to deliver and protect the site. This site does not intentionally use advertising trackers or behavioural profiling.
Sharing and retention
We use service providers only where needed to operate the site and communications. We do not sell personal information. Correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, engagement, legal or security purpose concerned. To limit misuse and stop the same brief being sent twice, our servers keep short-lived, pseudonymised records derived from your IP address, your email address and each submission; these expire within about a day.
Your choices
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion where applicable, or object to particular processing. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
